If you place an order, we process data required to perform the contract, including: name, billing and shipping address, email address (and phone number if provided), order details (products, prices, time of purchase), and payment-related confirmations/details. Purpose: order processing, shipping, customer support, returns/refunds, and accounting. Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), where applicable.

Payment processing: We use payment service providers such as PayPal, Stripe (card payments), and Klarna (if offered at checkout). Payment data is processed by the respective payment provider under its own responsibility. We receive payment confirmation and limited transaction details as needed to fulfill your order. Purpose: payment processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback handling. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Shipping: To deliver your order, we share shipping data (name, address, and if provided email/phone for delivery updates) with carriers such as DHL. Purpose: delivery of your order and delivery communication. Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Customer support: If you contact us (e.g., by email), we process the information you provide to handle your request and communicate with you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (order-related) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (general inquiries). Retention: as long as necessary to handle your request and as required by law.

Email updates / newsletter: If you sign up for product updates or a newsletter, we process your email address and any preferences you provide. Purpose: sending product updates and marketing communications (as applicable). Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time (e.g., via an unsubscribe link or by contacting support@frindt.ch).

Cookies: We use optional analytics and/or marketing technologies only after your consent. Without your consent, only technically necessary cookies and similar technologies are used. You can accept or reject optional tracking through our consent banner and change your choice as available in the store.

Shop platform and hosting: We operate our online shop using a headless setup with Shopify as the e-commerce backend and a frontend hosted on Vercel. In this context, your data may be processed by service providers to the extent necessary to provide the services (e.g., shop infrastructure, hosting, security). Where required, we enter into data processing agreements.

International data transfers: Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) and, where necessary, additional measures.
